Honestly, there’s not a whole lot I can say about this slot that I haven’t already said for any other fruit machine. People tend to accuse online slots of being all the same, but while that’s rarely true for video slots, it pretty much applies to fruit machines. One payline, a handful of classic symbols (such as the cherry or the bar), not a whole lot of interactivity. The only thing that distinguishes this slot from its contemporaries, if only very barely, is the ability to choose whether you want to bet one, two or three coins at a time (and also how much value each coin has). Naturally, the bigger the bet, the larger the winnings. You’re also presented with a Wild to spice things up just a notch, but unfortunately that’s all there is to it.

Conclusion – Retro Through and Through
Despite the fact that the aesthetics of “Astronomical” aim for the stars, there’s nothing really sci-fi or futuristic about how this slot is pulled off. It’s a classic fruit machine through and through, with no real innovations to spice up the genre. I get it, fruit machines aren’t something that has to be spiced up (if anything, I’m sure that the people who play them would dislike changes to the basic formula), but it’s a bit disconcerting to see slot after slot that all follow the exact same formula. If you’re looking for a fruit machine that does exactly what a fruit machine ought to do, this game is a great choice for you, and you could certainly do a lot worse, graphically. But if you’re interested in innovation, you might be better off grabbing a traditional slot instead.
