The Rules and the Features at a Glance
The Legend of Olympus is a 5-reel, 3-row video slot presented to you by Microgaming. It has 20 selectable paylines and the betting range varies between £0.20 and £40 per spin if you bet on all 20 lines. The theme is easy to recognise as the background and the images all speak of Greek mythology. In the top left corner, you can see Zeus floating and in the bottom right corner there’s Hades. All the game symbols are either gods and goddesses or the symbols associated with them. For example, you’ll spot Hermes’ Winged Cap, Artemis’ Spearhead, Enyo’s Shield, and Dionysus’ Cup. There are also Hephaestus and his hammer, Poseidon with his trident, stunning Aphrodite and the god of war Ares. Hades is Wild and there are two scatters, namely the Freespin and the Bonus symbol. The former is Zeus and the latter is a gold coin. The Wild substitutes any other symbol except the two scatters. The scatters don’t add to line wins but have other powers. Three or more of the first one trigger the Free Spins feature where, depending on the number of symbols, you’ll get a certain number of spins. For each block of free spins, Zeus will strike Hades. The ruler of the underworld will not be at his place by the reels for the duration of the feature. Similarly, three or more Bonus symbols trigger the secret bonus feature. In it, you’ll be taken down to the Styx where you’ll have to click on three spinning coins. You can end up with a small or big treasure, both depending on how many bonus symbols you had initially landed. But even if you don’t win, you’ll get the ferryman reward.

Conclusion – Fun Time with Frequent Wins
Even if you dislike the Ancient Greek theme, if you’ve tried the Legend of Olympus yourself, you’ve definitely noticed the frequent, although smaller, wins. I’ve personally won at almost every spin and that’s as frequent as it gets. Yet, I must admit I was a bit disappointed with the Free Spins and the Bonus features, as these didn’t give me any huge payouts. Also, I’d suggest you stay away from the gamble feature – though it is available after every win and you could potentially gamble even your substantial winnings from a feature, it has lost me more money than it has won me.
