Leprechaun Hills – The Luck of the Irish
This is a five-reel video slot for anyone who believes in leprechauns. Non-believers are also welcome at this festival of Irishness, but if you hit the jackpot you’ll begin to believe in the fat little buggers more than you believe in the existence of horses, acorns or Sellotape. Grab a pint of Guinness and thank your lucky stars because you’ve got a free shot at the game right here. Check out the demo below to set yourself straight and contextualise all you are about to read in this comprehensive review.

An Overview of the Rules and Features
Leprechaun Hills has a green and pleasant backdrop, with rolling hills stretching beyond the horizon. Symbols are drawn from the stereotypical Irish hat of four leaf clovers, a pint of Guinness, leprechauns, rainbows, horse shoes and mushrooms. Graphics are neat and tidy but fall short of being remarkable. They do the job but not much more than that. As with many Quickspin slots, the gameplay features are varied. There’s a Lucky Respin feature, which is triggered by any win on a middle range paying symbol (symbols not including the Ace to Ten card icons). The winning symbol will be heavily loaded up for the respin. By getting three Bonus Scatter symbols you’ll trigger seven Rainbow Free Spins. The Rainbow symbol acts as a wild and can turn into any of the medium symbols to complete your winning paylines. These only appear on reels two, three and four. There is a total of 40 fixed paylines, paying from left to right, while wagers are highly variable to accommodate all types of punters.

Conclusion – It’s OK at Best
Leprechaun Hills won’t win any prizes for originality, but clearly the developers weren’t shooting for this prize. However, it’s hard to see which prize they were shooting for, or whether they were just plugging a gap in their generic and formulaic slot production calendar. This is a game without any hooks to dig your claws into; there’s unfortunately nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. They say you can lead a horse to water, but this game has absolutely no horses, and the only water is a distant stream in the background. It does, though, have an abundance of greenery and run of the mill Irish music. None of the above is likely to whet your appetite, even if you are Irish, or your name is Paddy, or you just simply love the colour green. However, we dare you to try it out for yourself, and if you do, let us know what you think below.
