An Overview of the Rules and Features
The 8th Wonder slot is what the glass-half-full kind of guy would call streamlined, and what the glass-half-empty guy would call featureless. This three by three game is so basic that you can exhaust the entirety of its gameplay features within a handful of spins. There’s five paylines to look out for, the three horizonal lines plus your two diagonals. It all feels a bit like noughts and crosses, a game only slightly simpler than this one. All lines must be played at all times, but you can choose from a wide range of fixed bets. The stand out feature, although it is a stretch to call it that, is the Full House Bonus. Landing nine identical symbols on all available spots will result in the doubling of the payout. When you factor in that a full house also produces wins on all five paylines, your total win comes in at 160 times the bet. That’s certainly not bad, but Christ the Redeemer is better.

Conclusion – Not Much in the Shape of Features
There’s nothing wrong with retro. Retro is cool; it comes with a weight of nostalgia that adds sentimental value to a product. There’s not much to this Realistic slot, though, and the modern player might find it beyond-retro. There is an argument for stripped-down, classic slot titles, but this one has de-robed so far it has forgotten to leave something for the imagination. There’s isn’t even a soundtrack, just a basic chime when each spin has reached is short and lifeless conclusion. There are better slots in this market, but few are more humble than 8th Wonder.
