An Overview of the Rules and Features
Amazon Queen does little to whet the appetite upon loading. The presentation is as unkempt as a jungle, except there’s nothing natural about this. First off, there’s no video intro of the protagonist swinging on vines, slaying slithering snakes, and you are dumped right under the canopy with nothing more than an electric xylophone noise that is almost as out of place as the tiger and gorilla symbols you’ll encounter. The graphics aren’t particularly sharp either, and the interface is so distinct in style from the rest of the graphics that if you were lost in the jungle, it would provide better value than a flare to mark your position.
Symbols include the aforementioned gorilla and tiger, plus a snake and a parrot, and a spiky green fruit that none of us here can identify. These are backed up by hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds, the Wild symbol (which appears on reels 2,3, and 4 only), and finally the queen who triggers free spins when 3, 4 or 5 appear at once. Conclusion – Rough Around the Edges
Although an unpolished jungle-themed slot might seem like a deliberate ploy rather than a rush job, sadly for Amazon Queen, the latter is certainly the case here. We really don’t want to bang on about that tiger and gorilla situation, but the tiger should have been a jaguar, dammit. The gorilla could have been…a tree. Yes, a tree would be preferable because the Amazon is positively bursting with them. Aside from that, you can have fun with this game – the max win of 250,000 per spin is testament to that, and the highly flexible wagering is also a plus.
